Why does the blood pressure increase after a facial massage?

My mom is under medication for blood pressure. After she had a session of facial massage her bp shooted up.Even after taking the medicine she says after getting up from bed every time she has dizziness. What could be the reasonWhy does the blood pressure increase after a facial massage?
Her dizziness is not due to raised blood pressure. It is quite the opposite.

When you stand up quickly gravity pulls blood from your brain towards your feet and blood doesn't return to the brain until the next heart beat. If the heart beat is slow this takes a second or two and that is enough time to feel the lack of oxygen in the symptom of lightheadedness or dizziness. This results from a decrease in blood flow to the brain, due to a drop in blood pressure upon standing up.

If this continues with constant and severe dizziness then have your mom see the doctor to rule out the underlying cause.

Why does the blood pressure increase after a facial massage?
Is she was partially reclined during the facial, the change in elevation could have raised her blood pressure. There is nothing inherent in manipulation of the facial muscles during a facial that would have caused this, however.
