If I removed a facial mole with a ravor would it cause cancer?

I have a mole on my check that I want removed the only thing is that I want myself to do it instead of a dermatologist. However I'm not sure if my mole is cancerous it doesn't look cancerous at all but I tan alot without sunscreen so I'm being a little cautious.If I removed a facial mole with a ravor would it cause cancer?

NEVER remove a mole yourself. You will scar, you will get an infection and not only that, but moles help detect if someone gets skin cancer.

Yikes - that makes me cringe to just read this! A razor may not really remove the mole as you need to get to the ';seed/root'; below the surface of the top layer of skin - a doctor usually wears special surgical magnifying glasses to do this.





You do not know if the mole is cancerous or not; the removed tissue should be tested in a laboratory to see if it is of malignant tissue.





One of the worst things about doing this is the possibility of infection which could cause disfigurement to your face.





It would be amazingly foolish to entertain doing this. A doctor needs to see the shape, color and type of tissue of the mole and only a doctor would be able to see how to remove all of the surrounding tissue using sterile technique.





A doctor can give an educated opinion, but, it is not possible to know 100% if the tissue is cancerous without the lab doing a biospsy. That is why it is always done.

I would never never do that, especially to your face, you may cause it to become infected, moles can become cancerous maybe but not from shaving it but from irritation, see a dermatologist, that's the smartest thing to do, otherwise you may have a scar, and if it gets infected you may have a lot more than that.

It will not quit bleeding if you remove it your self.My daughter tried and I ended up taking her to the ER because it would not stop bleeding.They have a special product they apply before removing it that controls the blood loss.Have it done by a professional.Don't risk bleeding to death.
You really need to see a dermatologist. This is nothing to play around with. A mole is not only on the surface; it is under the skin as well, and by cutting it off with a razor you are asking for more damage.

I'd go to a dermatologist because you could get an infection if you do it yourself. There are reasons we have dermatologist.
You need to have this done at a doctor's office. They send them to a lab to check for skin cancer, and if you tan alot then you need it tested to be on the safe side. Moles also bleed profusely, they have a topical ointment that stops bleeding instantly. It's on your face so if you don't want excessive scarring, get it done by a professional.
