I have gone for a facial the last 2 months and the next day I wake up with several pimples. Is this normal?

I have been following the spa's advice and using Aveda products morning and night religously. I have noticed that my pores and skin texture seem better, but I just can't rid myself of the few pimples I have. Should I just give in and go to the dermatologist?I have gone for a facial the last 2 months and the next day I wake up with several pimples. Is this normal?
I have had the same experience. Although Aveda are good products they are not meant for everyone. I didnt care for the facial as well, and left there feeling like a grease ball. But the facialist there talked me into buying the products and they made me break out also.

So I went to a different salon....an Indian salon actually to get a facial and the woman there told me that you SHOULD NOT be breaking out when you get facials. It should be helping you not going against you. And she was right. I did not break out from her facials at all. And she does not use serums and oils.

The products she uses are all natural and from India.

I think you should return your products and get your $$ back if in a month you keep breaking out.

I hope this helped:)I have gone for a facial the last 2 months and the next day I wake up with several pimples. Is this normal?
if ur worried or they are sore id say go 2 the dermatologist, but facials are supposed to cleanse your skin, and although they bring out spots straight after, skin tends to be clearer once the pimples subside.
Most probably you have a very active oil gland production. Increased in sebum production can cause dirt to easily adhere to your skin causing the pores to get blocked. Because of this and as the days pass, it becomes inflamed and pimple erupts. To get rid of the few pimples you have, you can try to apply a pimple neutralizer. Usually this neutralizer will facilitate faster healing of your beginning or already existing pimple in a few days. Some friends have tried and their pimples have healed. Or if you want better skin care regimen, you may want to try to visit a professional skin care specialist.
Facials help to draw out impurities. If your skin texture seems better, Id stick with it, but combine it with a good topical acne cream, or system, like proactiv.
